About Fenley
The aim of Road Safety Audits is to ensure that the scheme will operate as safely as practicable and that the number or severity of personal injury accidents on the highway network for all users is minimised. Furthermore, these audits reduce the likelihood of litigation following any road traffic accident that might occur due to a defect within highway works.
Fenley is an independent consortium of qualified and experienced highways and transportation engineers specialising in road safety audits.
Here at Fenley, we feel that road safety is paramount to the efficient and safe operation of road networks. Therefore, we have prepared a low fee structure that allows all schemes to be subjected to a road safety audit. This will help reduce the likelihood of litigation, even if it is not a requirement of the Local Highway Authority.
The Fenley Road Safety Team
In accordance with standards, all of our consultants and engineers have undertaken the 10 days’ formal Road Safety Engineering training and continue to update their knowledge with at least 2 days’ Continued Professional Development every year. Additionally, each audit team holds a Certificate of Competence as required to undertake audits on the Trans European Road Network, and have been approved by Transport for London for their road network.
Furthermore, our consultants are regularly involved in other services to include the planning, design and implementation of a wide range of road improvement schemes as well as accident analysis for third parties. This gives us a deep, practical, real-world knowledge of features that give rise road safety concerns.
