Fenley Road Safety Audits

A Road Safety Audit is an independent evaluation of highway improvement schemes during design, at the end of construction and post-construction, to identify potential road safety problems that may affect any user of the highway and to suggest measures to eliminate or mitigate those problems.

Road Safety Audits have been mandatory for all road improvement schemes on trunk roads and motorways in the UK since April 1991. It is not mandatory for other roads but their use is recommended and seen as good practice.

Here at Fenley, we feel that road safety is paramount to the efficient and safe operation of road networks. Therefore, we have prepared a low fee structure that allows all schemes to be subjected to a road safety audit. This will help reduce the likelihood of litigation, even if it is not a requirement of the Local Highway Authority.
